What We Are All About

The Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation (OCUCF) is a designated "Registered Charity" by Revenue Canada, incorporated on May 11, 1979 due to the efforts of the following volunteer founding members: Neil Brand, Victor St. Pierre, Jack Sibley, Warren Hanstead, and Joseph Bonner.  Our charitable registration number is 11906 7692 RT 0001.

Through the initiative of these leaders the "Foundation" was formed to benefit and build communities throughout Ontario and to promote the well being of people in developing countries through the financial support of Credit Unions, agricultural and home based cooperatives.

We invite Credit Union professionals and retirees who wish to volunteer in assisting with our various fund raising events and/or with administrative activities throughout the year. Our commitment to you is "We promise you hours of rewarding satisfaction working with a team of credit union professionals who enjoy sharing their time and giving back.  Volunteer, and have fun doing so!"

The Foundation achieves its purpose by successfully raising funds to match the charitable efforts of Ontario’s Credit Unions in their own communities and by partnering internationally with the Co-operative Development Foundation (CDF) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
